At Central, we use the program "Accelerated
Reader". This is where our books are leveled and students read books that
match their reading level and then take a comprehension test on them on the
computer. There are so many AR books at school, but also many books that are
not part of the AR program.
In an effort to take advantage of every
great book your child might enjoy reading, I have designed several "AR
alternatives" which are assignments they can complete instead of taking an AR
test. These projects range from .5 points up to 2 points!
There are a few rules when doing AR
projects...
1. Students must get their project book
approved by me before they begin reading.
2. These projects do not apply to books that
are already AR books or to books I read in class.
3. Students must actively be reading AR
books as well.
Click the links below to download project
sheets. Students can get sheets from me at school also!
Happy reading!

you do not have this on your computer, you can get a free copy by clicking
