2009-2010 Special Projects
We're going to have so much fun learning
through these special projects during the 2009-2010 school
year!
|
We will practice adding, using a
calculator, and finding an average during the O.R.E.O.
Project in October! Thanks Jenuine
Tech. for organizing this great project! This is
our third year participating and we just love it!
|
We will also participate in "The Great
Pumpkin Seed Count" in October, organized by Jenuine
Tech. This project will allow us to make
estimates, count and add seeds, and find the
difference between our estimates and the actual number
of seeds in our pumpkin! This is also our third year
in this project... what a great way to practice our
math skills!
|
|
In December, we will learn about other
states in our country by participating in a
Gingergread Man exchange and creating Gingerbread Men
that represent Michigan to send to other schools! In
exchange, we will get Gingrebread Men from other
states. This is the first year we've done a
Gingerbread Man exchange. Thank you Mrs.
Shaw for organizing this interactive way for
students to learn about other states!
|
The fourth project we will participate in
this year is a St. Patrick's Day project where we will
be counting and graphing the different kinds of
marshmallows in a box of Lucky Charms. I am looking
forward to doing this project for the second time this
year. Thank you Jenuine
Tech. for providing this opportunity for my
students to collect data and compare it with data from
around the country!
|
|
Throughout the school year we will be
practicing our math and handwriting skills by writing
and making Snazzy Snacks once a
month. After making the snack, I will post pictures on
our website so check back often!
|

We have fun learning every single day
through hands-on activities, group work, art projects,
poems, songs, and technology. I'm looking forward to
another great year!
