Dear Parents and Students:
The time for celebrating the end of 8th grade is quickly
approaching. We have worked so hard this year and want to reward our
students with a great cookout and awards program. Below are a few reminders
about the end of the year schedule.
• June 8th: Money due for 8th grade cookout. Please give $2.50 to
your homeroom teacher if you have not already.
• June 8th: Eighth Grade Cookout from 12:30pm to 2:30pm. Also, any
fees/fines owed to the school must be paid by this date.
• June 8th: Awards Ceremony at 7:00pm in the Gym. All students will
receive a promotion certificate in addition to any special awards.
• June 9th: Last Day of School!!! Early Release at 11:30am.
Awards Ceremony Specifics for Students and Parents:
• Students should dress nice. Please do not wear jeans, flip-flops, or
torn/dirty clothing.
• Students report to the gym and find your seat. There will be a chair
with your name on it and a program. You need to find your seat
6:45pm. Sitting in the wrong seat will cause your name to be
called out in the wrong order. Pay attention to where you sit so you
are able to come to the stage when your name is called.
• Parents: Please find a seat in the bleachers. We will have programs
for you and your friends/family at the doors to the gym.
Handicapped access is available at the cafeteria entrance.
We have really enjoyed getting to know each of you this year and appreciate
all of the hard work on the part of our students and parents. Thank you so
