How do I know what my child has for homework?

Each week I send home a note on Friday informing you of homework for the
next week. Your child may bring home an extra activity once in a while. Your
child should be able to tell you if there is an extra activity and what it
is.

Should my child bring AR books home?

Yes. Your child should be reading to an adult every night. It is ok if you
read a page and ask your child to read a page. The students take an AR test
when they have read and feel comfortable with the book.

Does my child have a Spelling Test every Friday?

Yes. If for some reason we are not in school on Friday, the spelling test
will be given on Thursday. We have approximately ten spelling words that
use a specific spelling pattern.

How do I know what my child grades are in AR?

I will let you know when your child begins AR. Once that begins, at least
once every six weeks I will print your child's student summary so
you can see what tests he/she has taken and the grade for each test.
