3rd – 5th Grade
Behavior Rules for my Media Center:
1. Follow directions first time given
2. Raise hand to speak- wait to be called upon
3. Keep noise level low (Use 6 inch voices)
4. Keep hands, feet and objects to oneself
5. No rule- name calling, teasing or bullying
If a student chooses to break a rule the consequences will be as follows:
1. Warning
2. 5 minute time out
3. 15 minute time out
4. Detention
5. Sent to principal
Severe disruption- send to the principal immediately
Abuses another child Breaks up orderly atmosphere
Confronts authority Destroys property
Exhibits or possesses a weapon or illegal drugs
Positive Consequences I Use When My Students Behave:
• Additional checkout time
• Verbal praise • Notify homeroom teacher of good behavior
