Library and Information Science from Rutgers University, with a
concentration in educational media.
Prior to coming to Old York, Miss Bradley worked as a substitute teacher
(grades K-5) in the Philadelphia area and in Hunterdon County. She has also
worked in two different public libraries, the Hunterdon County Library System
and the Radnor Public Library (Delaware County, PA) as a children's library
assistant.
She currently works some nights and weekends for the Somerset County
Library's Bridgewater branch as a part-time children's librarian.
During the 2004-2005 school year, Miss Bradley was selected Teacher of the
Year by the staff, students, and parents of the school. Miss Bradley was
surprised, delighted and honored by such an outstanding distinction so early
in her career as a school media specialist. It felt good to be recognized
by staff, students and parents for how hard she works to make the library and
library program what it is today.
On June 29, 2006, Miss Braldey became an aunt when her younger sister gave
birth to twins, a girl (Morgan) and a boy (Sean). Her sister lives in PA by
the Philadelphia airport, so Miss Braldey spends lots of time driving back
and forth visiting since they are so much fun to be with. She loves sharing
books with them.
In July 2006, Miss Bradley decided to continue her education by enrolling in
a continuing education program through Rutgers Unversity in order to earn her
Supervisory Certificate. She completed the certificate in December 2007.

MISSION STATEMENT
"An effective library information skills program is an integral part of a
total educational program, teaching students the basic processing skills
necessary to connect them with information and ideas in all subject areas.
We believe that the Library Media Center should act as the
information 'heart' of the school in a vital connection with all content
area curricula. This is achieved through the collaborative efforts of
Library Media specialists and staff, administrators, classroom teachers,
computer teachers, and students acting as partners in the educational
process. When implemented, this partnership reinforces the value of literacy
and life-long learning.
The Old York Media program strives to embody the schools' philosophy of
developing critical thinking skills, lifetime learning and the basics of
information literacy in all formats, including print, multimedia, and
technological resources."
