Guidelines for Frequency Word Homework

 This year high frequency words will be practiced in school in small groups. We have 200 words to master.

Each week your child will receive five new words to write and practice reading and writing.. 

 The children will write the words in school and be encouraged to use them in their writings. 

 We stress proper handwriting and letter structure and the 

 letter-forming guide was available at Back to School Night..  

Sight words will be given in school. The students write the words on their word rings and then practice reading and spelling the words. 

This task might seem difficult for your child at first, but with practice at home and school, 

both you and your child will soon see improvement, please practice reading and spelling them at home.

We will be jumping around in the order this year.
