On Wednesday of this week, the students will be treated to a puppet show
about bullying and, this Friday will be a shortened day due to teachers
attending workshops in the afternoon.
In Language Arts this week, the students will be writing letters to other
4th grade students across the country. This week's spelling list consists
of words with the prefixes dis-, in-, mis-, and re-.
In Math, on Monday, there will be a quiz (postponed from Friday) on
fractions (equivalent, simplest form, & ordered). The rest of the week will
be spent learning how to convert improper fractions into mixed numbers, and
mixed numbers into improper fractions.
In Science, the students will be working on a special project all week: they
will be put into groups of 2 or 3, and be assigned one of seven kinds of sea
turtles to research. They will then write a report and create a model of
their particular sea turtle.
And, in Social Studies, the students will continue to learn about New
Jersey's role in the Revolutionary War.
