WELCOME!
I look forward to meeting my new students on September 10. If you have any
questions before the school year begins, you can email me via my TeacherWeb.
The link appears at the bottom left corner of this page.
FOR STUDENTS AND PARENTS:
1. Please bookmark the homework page of this TeacherWeb. This is the easiest
way for students to check whether the homework is written down correctly.
2. Handouts distributed in class MAY be available for download from the World
History Handouts page. (Those students who are eager to get a head start can
work on the "Getting to Know You" assignment posted on the World History
Handouts page.)
3. Students and parents can read about what we did today in class by clicking
on the "Ms. Sweeney's Weblog" link to the left and then on the link to the
"What We Did Today" page. Homework is also posted on the Weblog. (For those
parents whose children say they did "nothing" in school today, the Weblog may
prove to be somewhat more enlightening.)
4. For parents, if you would like to be notified when an assessment has been
announced or a project assigned, you can receive an email notification to
your computer or mobile device. Subscribe to this service by clicking on the
News Flash link to the left.
The above is designed to assist students (and their families) to stay on top
of what we're doing in social studies this year.
SUPPLIES NEEDED FOR CLASS
The 8th grade supplies letter included in the packet of materials sent by Park
administrators (which details what supplies are needed for each academic
class) can also be downloaded from the World History Handouts page. Please try
to obtain what you need for this class before the first day of school.
