Literature Circles

For November, our Literature Circle Groups will be reading themed books about the Pilgrims. Thanksgiving on Thursday, Pilgrims, a Nonfiction Research Guide; and Mayflower Treasure Hunt. At each group meeting, the students are given a job to complete after reading the next section of the book. The jobs are:

Discussion Director

Story Summarizer

Word Finder

Word Wizard

Cool Connector

Illustrator

Passage Picker

Character Sketcher

They report to the group at the next meeting, a healthy discussion follows, and the next job is assigned.
