Reading Chapter books is a must for every third grader! A great series to start with, that we will be reading a lot of this year are the Magic Treehouse Books. Take an adventure with Jack and Annie to the time of the dinosaurs, or get a taste of colonial life. Visit the rain forest, an active volcano, or see what life was like on board the Titanic.

Another favorite series amongst third graders is June B. Jones. Written by Barbara Park, this series takes you through Junie's kindergarten and first grade years. And it will have you laughing out loud. Check out this site about Junie B. Jones.
