Making Vegetable Soup

January is National Soup Month! 
It is also the month we learn 
about plants.  Many nutritious 
foods come from plants, like 
carrots, parsnips, celery and 
potatoes.  We used these 
vegetables and more in 
a soup that tasted yummy!

Seeing Eye Dog

We read a story about a blind 
person and her guide dog, 
called "Mom's Best Friend."  My 
friend, Mrs. Higham, raises guide 
dogs and brought Rosa in to visit 
our class.

Police Dogs

We learned other ways dogs help 
people.  Here Officer Maloney is 
demonstrating how Clancy goes 
after the bad guy!!!
