I'm so excited that the new school year has begun! We are currently working on subjects and
predicates in language arts. The students are also working on a fall writing assignment. In
reading we have finished our first story. Students now have an idea of what our routine will be.
They will be responsible for learning the meanings of robust vocabulary words for each story.
There will also be a focus skill that goes along with the story that we are currently reading. The
skill that we are focusing on now is characters and setting. Students are also responsible for
completing centers that go along with each story. There will also be a spelling list that the
students will be tested on. I am really looking forward to this year. I know it will be a great one.
