Grading
GRADING
POINT SYSTEM:Your grades will be based on a point system. Each assignment, test, or quiz will be worth a certain number of points. When you receive graded work back from me, it will indicate the number of points you received and the total number of points available for the assignment: Points you Received/Points Available = Your % Grade
LATE ASSIGNMENTS: If you turn in an assignment late, a percentage will be deducted for each day the assignment is late, as follows:
NOTE!! This does not apply to homework! Homework must be turned in on the day it is due or it is a zero. The only time that you may turn in homework late is when you are absent or you have spoken to me about a legitimate excuse. Please see the FAQs page.Q: Do we get Class Participation grades?? A: Yes! You will receive a chart early in the marking period detailing what I look for in your class participation. You may also see me any time during office hours to get feedback on your class participation grade. You will then receive the final grade at the end of the marking period. FINAL GRADES: 90%-100% -->A 80%-89.9%-->B 70%-79.9% -->C 60%-69.9% -->D 59.9% and below-->failing
REMEMBER!! If you are willing, you WILL succeed!!!
