REWARDS AND CONSEQUENCES:

We’ve discussed rewards and consequences together as a class, and I’ve taken your input to come up with the class “Rewards and Consequences” Policy:

REWARDS!!

What are the possible rewards for appropriate classroom behavior enthusiasm, and positive attitude?

There can be many rewards!  One of the greatest rewards is that you will set yourself up for success in this class, and you’ll learn how fun Chemistry can be!!

Other potential rewards can include (BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO!) the following:

h    Extra credit points

h    “Mulligan” àfree test question

h    “Fire/Blow Things Up” Day

h    Class time Outside (in the Spring of course!)

h    Homework Pass

h    Game Day

h    “Ice Cream-Making” Day

CONSEQUENCES:

Ms D’s classroom is a safe place for everyone to learn.  In order ensure the safety of each student and preserve a productive learning environment, every student is expected to behave appropriately.

Inappropriate behavior will result in the following:

Ø      1st offense: verbal warning

Ø      2nd offense: teacher detention

Ø      Repeat Offender: parent notification & office detention.

If you can’t do the time, don’t do the crime”

NShould you make the decision to break a rule, expect to face the consequences of your decision.  You chose to break the rule, and therefore you must take responsibility for your actions.  I will not accept arguments during class regarding detentions.  If you feel that you are being unjustly singled out or are actually innocent, see me after class and we will discuss it.

Inappropriate Behavior that endangers the safety/physical well being of other students will result in the following:

Ø      First offense: Immediate escort to the office to see the principal.
