Salmon River (FCMEA All-County Festival)

 

 

Call to Order

Meeting was called to order at 10:11am by President Emily Rabideau.

Acceptance of Minutes

 

Reports

 

All-County Festival Checklist:

-         Equipment move @ 12

-         Sound is being done by Emily

-         Kids belongings are going to be left in Cafeteria

-         Kids when done performing will report to Cafeteria

-         Parents can pick up students in the Cafeteria by signing out with school directors

-         Tickets will be sold by J. Vanier & S. O’Bryan ($3- ind., $10- family max, 5 and under are free)

-         Programs will be handed out at time of ticket sale

-         Missing music will be dealt with on a school by school basis.  Music will be collected at the end of the concert.  Any collected funds for missing music will be sent to P. Jadlos with clear delineation that it is for missing music.

 

Treasurer’s Report: School bills will be sent out on Tuesday morning (2/12/08)

-         Payments will be made to:

§         C. Healy for band music purchases

§         S. Perham and K. Calnon for accompaniment fee

§         Mary, George, Dave for conductors fee

§         Doughnuts and coffee

§         Lunch on Saturday

 

Secretary’s Report: Jeff S. reported that all future minutes and forms will be available online at his website under the FCMEA tab (lower left hand corner).

Old Business

 

Scholarship Committee- P. Jadlos, S. O’Bryan, and E. Robideau will be selecting this year’s recipients of the Crane Youth Music summer camp scholarships.

 

 

 

New Business

-         C. Healy motioned to have Saturday lunch paid for every year.  E. Rabideau seconded. Passed

-         P. Jadlos motioned to cover accommodations for out of town conductors with FCMEA funds.  J. Soper seconded. Passed

-         P. Jadlos suggested that we create a database to be posted for reference of NYSSMA solos by area directors.  Directors could look and see which school has a copy of the solo to see if it will be appropriate for their student before purchasing.  Discussion revealed no one wished to take on task and it was voted down.

-         S. O’Bryan suggested to buy an “FCMEA” stamp for All-County music.  J. Vanier seconded. Passed

o       C. Healy will look into pricing 3 stamps

-         E. Rabideau asked for written guidelines for future All-County Festival Chairpeople.  M. Poupore pointed out that they were in the County Constitution.  J. Soper will send out copies.
