Writing Children's Math Books

Our 6th grade reading class 
visited Mrs. Minard's 
kindergarten class in order to 
read their math books together.

We first had to research 
children's book authors and the 
NYS kindergarten math standards. 
Our student teacher, Ms. Presti, 
helped us choose book topics.

Next we spent time in the 
computer lab,writing our books 
and finding colorful pictures.

Calvin, our librarian, laminated 
the pages for us.

We were very excited when the day 
came to visit Mrs. Minard's 
kindergarten.

All in all it was a very 
enjoyable time for us and for the 
kindergarten class.
