NEUROLOGY CURRICULUM
Goals
- to train medical residents in the basics of neurology diagnosis and
treatment
- so that they may recognize neurologic problems in their
patients
- to be able to localize the region on the nervous system
where the problem is
- so that a work-up can be initiated
Objectives
to teach: residents how to recognize neurologic problems
- how to localize neurologic dysfunction to the major areas of the
nervous system
- what work-up would be appropriate
- what treatment modalities are available
- what the prognosis is in various neurologic disease
- to understand some of the ethical issues involved in neurology
Methods
