 FAQ

"The only foolish question is the one not asked..." The children place questions in a question box...here are a sampling of those questions.
  1. What is your favorite part about being a priest?
  2. The most difficult part about being a priest?
  3. Who is your favorite Saint?
--------------------------------------

What is your favorite part about being a priest?

As I have often told the children, it is difficult to highlight one aspect of
the priesthood that stands out. For me though, hearing confessions and
offering Mass are truly the greatest aspects on a day to day basis. To be
able to teach and share my faith with the young people of our school is also
an incredible experience. Lastly, to be able to be there for people at the
greatest moments of their life and at there most difficult times as well.

The most difficult part about being a priest?

Not being able to solve everyone's problems. When a person is suffering or
going through a very difficult time, your instinct is to want to be able to
take that away, but instead, we are called to Take Up Our Cross, and so we
share that cross with the person and help them in carryign theirs.

Who is your favorite Saint?

As I have told the children, while I ahev a deep devotion to many of the
Saints, my favorite Saint is Saint Peter. He would be going along well adn
then he would make a mistake. But Peter knew enough to turn back to the Lord
seeking mercy. And the Lord would pick him up and restore him in grace. So
to it is with all of us when we fall into sin; if we turn back to the Lord he
will pick us up, heal us, and restore us to grace.
