****ONE AR book for Literature is due for each quarter-must pass the test 
with a 65%, reading level 6 or higher, and at least 2 points to get credit. 
For more information and book lists go to the school library or see me. 
Students can take AR tests in the morning or at recess at the classroom 
computer or in the computer room.  

Some students did not pass or take a AR book for the 1st quarter, make sure 
you don't let another quarter slip by.

Grade 7 SS-Test on Friday.  Define key terms for chapter 6-Due MONDAY

Literature:  Grade 7 started "Leah and Sarah" by Jane Yolen.Students are 
working on setting, and the author's purpose for writing (entertain, teach, 
reflect).  Vocabulary should be studied so the student is able to understand 
the meanings of the words.    To get to know the author better

Literature test will be given next week

Grade 7: Handwriting- Line one of the handwriting card I gave out on Friday, 
5 times, in your literature notebook.

Grade 8: -Chapter 22: Geography quiz- Map on page 629-green area onl (Full 
Suffrage for Women)and Presidents/Georgraphy -on web site due Monday.  
Continue to study where the states are in the United States because each
