Dear Sixth Grade Students and Parents,

	This notice is to specify the requirements set forth for the 
Accelerated Reader Program for the year 2006-2007.  Please note the 
following criteria:

	-Three passing test grades on a reading level between 5 and 
8 
per marking quarter for a total of nine (9) books for the school 
year 
The first quarter is covered by the summer reading requirements.
	
	You will receive one test grade for the three Accelerated 
Reader tests that you have taken for each quarter.  The grade you 
earn will be based on how many tests you pass with a grade of 70 or 
better for up to three tests.  Grading is as follows:

	Three passing tests			=		100%
	Two passing tests 			=		 85%
	One passing test 			=		 70%
	No passing tests			=		 60%

No additional credit will be awarded for more than three passing 
tests per quarter.  

You must have a minimum of three books completed for each quarter by 
the end of each quarter.
