Every 6th grader will end his or her day in “Writer's Workshop” Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
Thursdays we will focus on advisory/interpersonal/team building skills and Fridays will be flex days to
reteach, retest, meet with the whole group in a town meeting or plan a special activity.
Students are well into working on theirVIP projects. Most of the writing will be done here in school but
some tasks (including collecting "stuff") will be done at home. This is a writing project, but we will
explore some creative presentation formats for final products. Many will choose to do a poster, but this
is just one option. We appreciate your support!
We are asking students to find a family recipe over Thanksgiving that they can copy and share as part of
the VIP presentation. If the recipe comes with a special story we would love to have them share this
also.
