How many books should my child read?

The more the better, but each child should read at least one book each night!

Do we still need to write the name of the books on a list?

YES! Please write each book on the list.

What about morning recess?

We are not allowed to take the children out for an "organized" morning
recess. I do however take them out as I feel the need for an extra recess.
This happens most at the beginning of school, but also occurs throughout the
year. I believe they need the physical activity each morning.

Has my child been taught phonics this year?

YES! We have learned to decode words and are now working on comprehension
skills.

Why do you still let the children have centers?

I believe the children need time to choose their activities. All day, I am
choosing what they do, and I believe they need time to feel in control of
their choices. Remember, PLAY is a child's work!
