**Letters are introduced by those used most frequently in spelling words.
Along with the weekly introduction of letters, there is the introduction and 
continual review of rhyme awareness, alliteration, phonemic awareness, word 
awareness, sentence awareness and punctuation, letter formation, vowel 
sounds and patterns, word families,high-frequency words, book concepts, 
decoding strategies in reading,and prewriting skills.
