What is expected of students in Communications I or II?
Basic English students have the same responsibilities that other
grade-level students have. The Basic English curriculum is
modified to accommodate students' academic and individual needs.
Students must complete required work, study for tests, and pass
benchmark assessments for this class with at least a 60%.
How can a parent contact Mrs. Brown?
The email icon on the top of the home page will connect you.
You can also reach me by regular email at
mbrown@bradfordareaschools.org
You may call at the very end of the school day and ask to be
transferred to my room. I am also available after hours.
Please call my home only when you have trouble reaching me
during school hours. My number is 363-3546, and by cell at
596-9656 (leave voice messages at this number only).
What study aids are available on this web site?
I have posted vocabulary word finds and other handouts on the
"Handouts" icon. I have provided links to internet sites for
dictionary, thesaurus, speeches, poetry, research, and other
useful supplemental materials.
Why hasn't my child received a progress report?
I don't know. I send progress reports (good, bad, or average)
to every student's home each marking period. Students also have
access to their grades on eschoolbook; they can see what work
they are missing, and they can make an effort to catch up. If
you did not see your child's progress report, call the guidance
counselor to get an update immediately. In the event that the
administration requests that we do not send progress reports to
all students, this message will be changed.
