Attention Peer Helpers- The Peer Helper meeting was held on Feb. 9, 2007. The
following items were discussed.
The Spring Conference is scheduled for April 30, 2007 from 8:30-2:00 at
UPB. Sign-ups are on Mrs. Morrison's door until the end of the month. If you
plan on attending, sign up ASAP.
Read Across America will be around March 2nd. Kyle Thiel is in charge
and has contacted School St. to see what will be going on. If you are
interested in helping with this, the sign-up sheet is on the door.
Amanda Morrison reported on the T-shirts. Items available are short
sleeved shirts for $8.00, long sleeved shirts for $12, and sweatpants for
$15. Sign-up sheet is on the door.
The annual Safety Fair at Fretz is scheduled for March 30, 2007 from
8:15-3:00. If you are interested see Mrs. Morrison.
Things are running smoothly with Special Olympics. Thank you to all
peer helpers who are attending.
The following items were voted on and passed: money will be taken out
of the treasury for educational support for one child through World Vision. A
campaign to recruit new members will begin next week. Applications will be
available in the guidance office and announcements will be made. Encourage
friends that are interested and you recommend to fill out forms.
The following were announced as officers: Amanda Morrison president,
Janie Reiley vice president, and Mike Tolin secretary/treasurer. Jenna
Spittler and Lexi Goble are in charge of the display case outside Mrs.
Morrison's door. Look to see the changes and be aware of everything that Peer
