Units of Study:
Introduction Unit: Students learn how to use the computer, computer safety
and responsibilties. They will print and turn in a contract to sign.
Computer Research: Students use the internet to find information about a
chosen country and complete note cards. This information will be used in the
making of a Power Point Project later on in class.
IT History Unit: Students will research a topic regarding people and events
pertaining to Technology. They will organize main points, and type
a short report using MS Word.
Multimedia Unit: From previous research, the students will build a Power
Point Presentation on a country.
Mavis Teaches Keyboarding: We will learn Basic keyboarding skills and
techniques. Students should be able to type without looking at the fingers
using the right reaches for the keys.
