Why do the students sew on paper? Sewing on lined paper teaches the student to both control the speed of sewing as well as the straightness of the stitches. Why sew on machines if they will never have to do this in the future? Exposing the students to sewing gives them the opportunity to perform a task in which otherwise they might never have the chance to do. When do we get a grade on report cards? The students receive grades for the 2nd and 4th marking periods. Where do I get the recipes made during class? The recipes are tested Home Economics class recipes that have proven through the years to be a success when the students have made them. I also get recipes from parents and students and will adapt them to use in class. Can the students have copies of the recipes? The students will receive a copy of all the recipes made during class at the end of the year. |
