General music classes are O-S-U graded. Vocal tests will be given
during each 9 week period. O = outstanding, S = satisfactory, and U =
unsatisfactory. As long as a student tries his/her best in this class, they
will receive a satisfactory grade. Each student who receives an "O" in
grades 5-8 should consider joining chorus. Students will meet for general
music one 42 minute class period each week at the Lincoln Park Performing
Arts Center this year.
Please be sure to sign your child's progress report for social studies
each time that it is sent home during the "midterm". Have them return it to
me during class time. Any time that your child receives a "D" or "F" grade,
I put a "Please sign and return" red stamp on the paper along with a
progress report to inform you of their current grade. Please sign the paper
and return it with your child the next school day. This is to keep you
better informed of their daily progress.
