Reading lessons are facilitated using Smartboard technology.
Reading is supplemented using Dora Doma Let’s Go Learn Unique Reader tutorial 
instruction.

MONDAY: February 13, 2012
PHONICS: Phonics Practice pages 206-207 
READING: Sharing Literature "Dinosaur Bob and His Adventures with the Family 
Lazardo" TM66H, Set a purpose: Listen to find out how the family takes care 
of their unusual pet. 
-Introduce Vowel Digraphs: /oo/ oo, ue TM66I-J. 
-Big Book of Rhymes- read page 26 “To Feel Better Soon”. 
-Apply Phonics: Practice Book page 18 and 20 TM66Q-R and Ex. Support page 18. 
Introduce the vocabulary for "Dear Mr. Blueberry"(details, disappoint, 
forcibly, information, oceans, stroke). 
-High Frequency Words (won’t, letter, sea, lost, feed). 
-In a large group, read Vocabulary Power pages 66-67. 
-Copy words and meanings into vocabulary journals, give list for home study.
-Read "Dear Mr. Blueberry" silently and aloud pages 68-89.
-Do the guided comprehension and Think/Respond questions.
- HOMEWORK: "Cooper’s Cool Idea" read, get signed, and return. Ex. Support

comprehension grade.

-Reinforce skills and strategies by using Books for All Learners. Students 
will do self-selected reading from the classroom library.
