2009-2010 marks Mr. Fobes' 11th year as guidance counselor at NMS. He
holds a BA in Criminal Justice from Edinboro University and a masters degree
in secondary counseling. He also has certification in secondary
administration as well. He has recieved training in Student Assistance
Programming and Crisis Intervention.
The mission of the Middle School Guidance Office is to provide support
services to students, parents, and staff which are complementary to the
educational experiences of the middle school student. A high emphasis is
placed on the psychological, emotional, and social development of the
student and services and assistance to promote these aspects of each
student's unique individuality are offered to the best of our ability.
Students are encouraged to develop self-discipline, accept responsibility
for personal behaviors, and develop insight into the potential for their
personal and educational growth.
