Welcome! My name is Mrs.
Zanine, and I am the gifted support teacher for all of M. M. Seylar Elementary
and for the gifted support pull-out program grades 2 through 5 at West
Rockhill Elementary. I am looking forward to an exciting and productive year!
Time sure flies when you’re having fun! It’s hard to believe that I have been teaching for seventeen years. This is my sixth year teaching gifted support after teaching first grade and kindergarten for twelve years. I received my B.A. in Education from Beaver College and my M.A. in Education from Gratz College. My husband, Steven, and I have a little daughter named Amelia Grace. Although my days are very busy, I enjoy spending some exta time with my beagle mix named Lucy and Irish step dancing.
As a gifted support teacher, my mission is to empower each student to realize his/her intellectual potential according to his/her individual ability. I want to help students develop skills such as critical thinking, divergent thinking, problem solving, communication, leadership, group dynamics, and research so that they will develop confidence and success as lifelong learners. I hope to achieve this in a classroom environment that is sensitive to individual interests, social, and emotional needs.
Newsletters about the gifted support program and student portfolios come home each marking period. Please remember to contact me with any questions or concerns you may have. If you or your child need to reach me, please call my voicemail at 215-257-6299 ext. 2033. I have access to this voicemail at both schools.
Thank you for all your support!
