Welcome

Dear Friends of Saint John Bosco,

I greet you in the name of Jesus! All are welcome here in this holy place. As
we collaborate in the ministry of this parish we realize that our efforts
together to achieve heaven must be great and so then must be our prayer. Our
spiritual and physical endeavors too must be focused on our primary goal – to
be saints!

I hope that we can help each other!

There are wonderful opportunities to join together in vital cultural
exchanges; meeting Jesus in the marketplace as well as the Church. They can
open for us avenues in our work and in our homes to be holy. Let us meet each
other here in a spirit of welcome and hospitality!

This parish life we share can be an honest effort on all our parts be become
better citizens, better human beings, and above all, better Christians.

To our young people, I greet you with hope for a wonderful future in Christ.

To our young adults, I say: Come join us, help us help others get to heaven.

To our adults, who are the foundations of our faith, peace be with you! Your
reputation for volunteerism and your strong devotional life, offers me a
great heritage of faith that offers us a future of hope.
To the sick, the troubled and the confused, I look forward to meeting Jesus
in you.

Friends, the Gospel writer proclaims it. Our beloved John Paul reiterated it
at the beginning of His Ministry. "Be not afraid." My pastoral ministry here
is marked by two great themes: unity and communion - to be one with each
other in order to achieve communion with Christ.

I hope together we can serve the Church as faithful laborers in the Lord’s
vineyard and witness by the fruit we bear that we are being truly led to
Christ.

God bless Saint John Bosco Parish!

Your servant in Christ, Father Cioppi
