Mrs. Bartlett is presently in her 21st year of teaching here at St. Philip
School.

Science Degree in Elementary and Special Education and a graduate of
University of Pittsburgh where she earned a Masters Degree in Elementary
Education. In addition to these degrees, she has attended classes at Chatham
College, Penn State, Allegheny Intermediate Unit, Gateway to the Arts, and the Pittsburgh History
and Landmarks Foundation .
Being a life long resident of Pittsburgh, she is presently living in Chatham
Village, located in Mt. Washington. Mrs. Bartlett has been married to
Harrison Bartlett for 31 years and has two sons, Joe and Ted. Joe is a

two very beautiful daughter-in-laws; Casey and Liz. Casey works in finance, and Liz is working in a
Naval shipyard as civilian status.Mrs. Bartlett is a grandma to the very cute and adorable 1 year old
Benjamin Bartlett. The other member of her family is a little black cat with white paws who brings
much joy and unconditional love.
Some of Mrs. Bartlett's accomplishments include the installation of the St.
Philip School Theater Department which is in its 21st year of existence, and
the Catholic Schools Week Art exhibit and "Glow Room" which is in its 21st
year. The students have also participated in the Carnegie Arts and Heritage
Art Ehibit and the Diocese of Pittsburgh Art Exhibit for several years.
She is the recipient of the 2005 Diocese of Pittsburgh "Golden Apple Award"
and Who's Who In American Teachers. Mrs. Bartlett is also a member of the
Western Pensylvania Primary Educators Association.
My goal is for each student and their family to realize the importance of the
arts in the development of a whole person and to seek a life long enjoyment
and appreciation of the arts.I would like each student to recognize their
ability to be creative and experience all aspects of art and theater. In addition to the arts I would like
the students to understand the wealth of knowledge available to them in the library and how to
successfully retrieve it. I hope to teach the students that the library is an awesome place to study, do
research and read.I would hope, through Catholic religious instruction , the students would develop a
most personal relationship with God the Father, Son,and Holy Spirit. Lastly, I would like the
students to experience a stress free and enjoyable classroom environment.
