News & Notes

Catholc Schools Week was so much fun! We celebrate 100 Days of School,
Groundhog Day, Crazy Olympics, and our first Pep Rally! A good time was had
by all!

Valentine Party will be on Tuesday February 14th. Put your name on the
valentine, but do not put another child's name on the envelope. I will send
home a bag for the children to decorate. You are most welcome to join us!
Our party will take place 12:30-2:00. Let me know if you would like to come.

We know the following letters and sounds: Aa,Cc, Dd, Ff, Ii, Mm, Nn, Oo, Ss,
and Tt. Using these letters we can read many words. Please practice reading
the words on your child's word lists in the blue homework folder.

We are spelling! The spelling notebook comes home on Tuesday, Print the
words three times, pretest on Wednesdsay (I give the children the sound for
each letter), Thursday - print a sentence for each word and underline the
spelling word. Friday we will test the words. Remember, we are trying to
reinforce the SOUNDS for each letter.

Reminder: If your child misses a day of school, please send a note stating
why on the next day back at school.
SNACK: Snack is $1.50 for all day, $1.00 for half day. Please check your

     can button and zipper
