Who is Mrs. Julie?

I am married to Keith Carter and have 2 daughters, Jessica &
Jennifer. Jessica finished her Associates Degree in Psychology in May, 09
and is working on her Bachelor's Degree. Jennifer is a Senior at Macon County
High School. I have 2 "furry" kids (dogs), Sadie and Missy, that get into a
lot of trouble sometime. I have a farm where I have a horse named Domino and
several limosin cattle. I grew up in Covington, GA, but have lived in Macon
County for 22 years. I currently live in the Rocky Mound community.

I graduated from Tennessee Tech with honors. I have taught school
for 12 years - all in First Grade. In my "free time", I like to work in
my flower beds, cook, read, and (when money will allow it) shop. I
collect different types of glassware and carnival glass. I am also a big
fan of Longaberger baskets.

I was a Girl Scout Leader for several years and also taught Sunday
school for 5 years. I love going to gospel singings and am active with
the Cumberland Valley School of Gospel Music. I sing in a trio, True
Spirit, with 2 of my friends.

Mission For The Class

I want each child to feel they are important to the learning adventure in
our classroom. I start each day with a song to help them feel welcome
because their class is their home away from home. I try to help each
student reach their potential on their level. And we have a lot of fun
along the way.
