Notes for Home:

Please remember to check your child’s folder daily for activities we have completed in class!

I will be sending home letter V homework today and letter W homework on Wednesday. The children seem to enjoy taking these activities home to share!

Next week for our Thanksgiving unit we will be doing a cooking activity. It is a simple activity called “Pumpkin Pie in a Bag” Each child will make their own “pie” in a Ziploc bag. If you can send in any of these items, we would appreciate it!

·      2 packages instant vanilla pudding

·      1 tub cool whip

·      one can of pumpkin (15 oz)

·      2 boxes of graham crackers

·      1 box of baggies quart size.

This is a yummy alternative that children in my class love every year!!!

Theme Time:

This week our class will be talking about cultures around the world. We will be doing activities for Hawaiian culture, Japanese, and much more! Friday will be our day we study Japanese culture. We will be celebrating Hinamatursi Day "The day of the Dolls" which is celebrated in Japan to commemorate ancestors. Your child may bring their favorite doll or stuffed animal to share with the class. We will also be having a tea party on the floor Friday!!

Think and Talk Time:

Play a game of “I Spy” with your child finding things around the house that begin with V or W.
