Please make sure that your child is showing you their homework nightly that can be found in the
agenda book. It is important that homework is completed. I need to be able to assess if
students need further instruction on material, or if we can move on. Students should be
studying nightly as well as reading AR for optimal performance in class.

Encourage your child to complete work in class when time is given to them. If your child is
using their time wisely in class, they should not have much homework. (20 minutes and 30
minutes of reading) I discourage parents from completing homework for their child. I assign work
for students to complete on their own so that I can have a true assessment of how well they have
learned the lesson. If they are not the ones completing the work, I cannot truly tell if they
need help in certain areas.

Please make sure your child is studying science and social studies nightly.
They are two subjects where the information simply just must be memorized.
If your child studies a little each night, they will be completely prepared
for the test when it comes up! Thanks!
