Welcome to fourth grade! I have taught for nine years. I have experience
in first grade, third grade, fourth grade, fifth grade, and special
education. I have received a masters degree in administration and
leadership.
I have a wonderful family, consisting of my husband-Scott, daughter-Hailey,
and Son-Austin. We have two dogs, Pete (an English bulldog) and Buddy (a
Pug). I love to read, be at the beach, exercise, wakeboard, and spend time
with my family.
I love teaching fourth grade. It's really fun to work with this age and
watch them grow and mature. I love my students just as my own children and
strive to challenge them and promote them to be the best "them".

My goal is to prepare my students to the best they can be every day. I want
to encourage my students to be well-rounded individuals. The goal here, at
Byars Dowdy, is to "ROAR", which stands for being responsible, on time,
always safe, and respectful. I encourage my students every day to be a
positive, motivated learner, as well as, being a part of very close and
connected family, our class.
