Mrs. Taylor-Dunn was born in Midland, Texas in 1976. Soon after, her father
was transferred with Mobil Oil to Wichita Falls, Texas. After 18 months,
Mrs. Taylor-Dunn's sister Kelly was born. After one year in Wichita Falls,
Mrs. Taylor-Dunn and her family were transferred to Saudi Arabia.
After four years in Ras Tanura and Daharan, another sister Christy was born.
After attending preschool, kindergarten, and first grade in Saudi, the
Taylors were again moved, this time to Houston, Texas. Mrs. Taylor-Dunn
attended Haude Elementary in Spring, Texas for second and third grade, when
again her family was transferred, this time to the sunny west coast. Mrs.
Taylor-Dunn moved to Bakersfield, California and attended fourth and fifth
grade at Laurel Glenn Elementary.
After a fun year and a half of beaches, Disneyland, and the unpredictable
earth quakes, the Taylors were yet again moved, this time to Connecticut.
Mrs. Taylor-Dunn lived in Wilton, Connecticut for a brief period of time.
She attended Cider Mill Intermediate and Middlebrook Middle School. Once
again Mrs. Taylor-Dunn and her "band of gypsies" family moved. This time to
the exotic Jakarta, Indonesia.
Mrs.Taylor-Dunn enjoyed her time in Jakarta attending Jakarta International
School and making many friends. She enjoyed playing volleyball, singing in
the choir, and her jewelry making class. She lived in Jakarta for eighth,
ninth, and tenth grade. Mrs. Taylor-Dunn relocated to Fairfax, Virginia in
1992.
While living in Fairfax, Virgina and attending Fairfax Highschool, Mrs.
Taylor-Dunn received her driver's license and her first car she shared with
her dad, a "very cool" maroon Mercury Sable.
After finishing highschool Mrs.Taylor-Dunn decided to move to Lubbock, Texas
to attend Texas Tech University. After one year of being extremely
homesick, she moved to Richmond, Virginia, to be closer to her family. One
month after moving to Richmond, her family transferred from Fairfax to
Southlake, Texas. Mrs. Taylor-Dunn decided to stay in Richmond and finished
her B.S. in Psychology with a minor in Social Work at Virginia Commonwealth
University. She lived in Richmond another year until her parents asked her
to move to Southlake to house sit as they were being moved to Kazakhstan,
their first move without any children. She decided it would be a great
opportunity to save some money, so she said goodbye to great times and
friends, and moved back to her home state.
Mrs. Taylor-Dunn soon decided that she wanted to teach Elementary School and
received her certificate from the University of Texas in Arlington. She has
been teaching second grade at Dove Elementary for 8 years, and now resides
in Keller, Texas. She enjoys, traveling, reading, dancing, singing, and
hanging out with her 6th grade science teacher husband Mr. Dunn and
friends.
She has a fat black cat, a crazy young kittie and a cute Catahoula Leopard
dog named Josie. She just had a baby girl in July...Maren Elise.
My mission is to instill in my class responsibilty, accountabilty, honesty,
integrity, and most of all the drive to be the best that they can be.
