Hi! My name is DeLenn Maples and I've been teaching for eleven years. This
is my third year in the elementary setting. Before teaching at Garden Oaks
I taught high school in St. Louis, Missouri and in the Cy-Fair school
district here in Houston. I enjoyed my time as a high school teacher and
dance team coach but I wanted a change of pace and scenery. I love my
students and Garden Oaks Elementary where I am the Math teacher for the
Fifth Grade Team. I'm looking forward to many years here!

I want my students to become independent and creative learners never
stopping at what the minimal expectation is but soaring,reaching and
