Band Motto

Dedication


The Golden Eagle Band at Goldthwaite High School believes that activity without dedication is wasted time. Dedication is the beginning of excellence and must be encouraged both at home and in the community.

Excellence

The Golden Eagle Band also believes that excellence is a direct result of dedication. Good teaching and good practice habits will result in good performances. Excellence, therefore, is a habit and not an accident.

Pride

The Golden Eagle Band understands that misplaced pride is only elitism in disguise. Pride must come from a job well done. Pride is not bragging about possibilities, but is a statement of fact about previous accomplishments. Pride is based in tradition and a habit of excellence.
