This is my 35th year in public school education. I taught Kindergarten
for one year, 4th grade for eleven years, and 5th grade for 11 years. I
worked as an exchange teacher for one year with SWTSU and Lockhart ISD
developing my mentoring skills while working on my master's degree. Then I
became an assistant principal at Clear Fork Elementary for 2 years and
returned to Navarro as an assistant principal in 2000. Working as an
assistant principal was very rewarding and quite busy, but the most fun is
being around the students and the staff. After being an assistant principal
for 4 more years here at Navarro, I was moved up to be the principal. This
is my third year as principal here and I am still excited about coming to
work every day. Navarro is the best school because of our students and the
staff. We all stress positivies and success stories. We believe in setting
goals and stressing academic success for every student. We welcome our
parents and any visitor to call or come by and see our wonderful school.
This campus is your school and we strive to communicate as much as possible
with our parents and our community. Our parents are the best partners we
can have as we join to do the best we can for our children.
We provide quality education for all students socially, educationally, and
emotionally. We make learning relevant. All children are capable of
learning and need to have quality education provided in a safe, creative,
and caring environment.
Goals: Maximize Quality Learning Time, TEAMWORK, Communicate, Be Positive
at all times.
