My name is Bill Stachelski and I'm entering my 12th year of teaching at
Frank W. Cox High School. I am a Massachusetts native but I've lived here
in Virginia Beach since 1997. I graduated from Arlington (MA) High
School in 1987 and earned a B.A. degree in History from The University of
Massachusetts @ Amherst in 1991. After relocating to Virginia Beach in
January of 1997, I attended Old Dominion University and in 1999 I recieved my
M.S. in Education. I spent much of the 1999-2000 school year as a long-
term substitute teacher at Independence Middle School, and after teaching VA
& US History at Cox during the summer of 2000 I was offered a full-time
Social Studies position and I've been here ever since. I live in the Great
Neck community and I am the proud father to 8-year old Jacob and 5-year old
Ava who both attend Trantwood Elementary School. I am proud to be a part of
the Falcon family and when I am not teaching Social Studies I am coaching the
Varsity Football team. The experience that I've had here at Cox as both a
teacher and a coach has been priceless, and I look forward to many more years
of service to the school and the community.
