This is my 14th year teaching at Gloria Dei.I feel as if it has always
been my home. You see, when I was a little girl, I attended Gloria Dei. I
started here when I was 5 years old and was a member of the first graduating
class. In fact, Mrs. Robinson was my third grade teacher!I loved this school
so much that when I grew up,I decided to become a teacher and become part of
the team who helped shape my life.
Family:
I am married, and I have a 19 year old daughter, Brittany. She also went
to Gloria Dei and graduated years ago. She is a student at Christopher
Newport University.My family also includes a golden retriever, Sydney, and
1 cat, Macy. My mom teaches pre-K here at Gloria Dei, and my dad is the best
dad in the world.
Hobbies:
I love to shop at Target, go to the beach, read, and spend time
with friends and family.
The most important mission for the class is to learn to put Jesus first,
others next, and yourselves last. When we have learned this, we can have
true JOY in our lives.Learning self discipline and having respect for others
is crucial to achieve one's fullest potential. We are here to work, play,
and grow together as a team.
We must realize that each person is valuable and comes to school with
different types of "smarts". We each have been given different gifts.It is
my hope that this year, you will discover what gifts God has given to you.
Remember,YOU hold the key to your education. You will learn that studying is
very important. Set goals for yourself, but realize that something won't
come from nothing...It takes hard work and effort to succeed.
I know we will have a great year together!
