KINDERGARTEN NEWSLETTER: February 3, 2012
WORLD TRAVEL
This week we flew to AUSTRALIA and had many adventures “down under.”
Australia has many very unique animals. We sang about the Kookaburra, acted
out a skit about the Frilled Lizard and the Dingo, and read stories about
Kangaroos, Koalas and much more. Payday and Duty Free Shopping will be on
Monday and then we will be off to AFRICA!
PARENTS CAN HELP
If you or someone you know has been to any of the following continents we
invite you to come in and share with our class. Let us know so we can
schedule you for the appropriate time. Here is our tentative travel schedule:
AUSTRALIA – February 1 to 6
AFRICA – February 7 to 13
SOUTH AMERICA – February 14 to 17
VALENTINE’S DAY
A class list of names is being sent home for your child’s use if he/she
chooses to exchange Valentines with his/her classmates. More details are
included with the class list. This will be an exercise in letter and name
recognition, alphabetical ordering and writing skills.
100TH DAY OF SCHOOL
As of today, our 100th day of school will be Thursday, February 16. Please
bring in a collection of 100 things for us to count and share on that special
day. More details will follow.
PARENT/TEACHER CONFERENCES
It is time once again to call the RDS office to schedule your parent/teacher
conferences: Thursday February 23 and Friday February 24.
