Welcome

Welcome to our school! Our mission is to do whatever it takes to create outstanding opportunities for learning. We know that families and students are important partners in this journey and we invite you to partner with us. We believe that all children can excel at academics, and that activities and citizenship are important. We look forward to our journey this year.

We are coming to the end of January and are now heading into February. Our students will be taking several tests this month in reading and math - please encourage your students to do their best. Celebrate the successes whether big or small! Many students are looking forward to our schoolwide celebration of caring - February 14th. Please be sure to coordinate with homeroom teachers around guidelines for what to bring in to share with the classroom.
We have many soldiers returning and many who are also getting ready to leave - please know that we have support systems at school to help your students with that transition at home. Our counselor and Military Family Life Counselor (Ms. Fairbanks)are working with groups and individual students to support them. Our extended day continues before school for invited 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students and the students are excitedly coming in every morning to get extra help with reading and math skills.
Thank you for your continued support of your students and Evergreen.
Mrs. Diana Dix

Delayed Arrival Due to Weather

As we have seen we have some snow. Please check the news in the morning as any delays will be posted between 6:00 and 6:30 AM. The district will also do a ConnectEd call letting families know is there is a delay. In order to receive the message, all phone numbers must be current at our school office. If school is delayed, there will not be our Early Morning Tutoring Program. If school is delayed by 1 hour, students can arrive at 8:30 for breakfast and school begins at 9:00. If school is delayed by 2 hours, students can arrive at 9:30 for breakfast with school starting at 10:00. On delayed starts students will still be dismissed at the regular time 2:30. Also for parents of ECEAP, Preschool and Kindergarten, on delayed start days these students will NOT have school.
The most important thing is that we want students to be safe coming to school. Thank you for your support!

Dress for Success

As we have stepped into the Winter weather - PLEASE make sure that your student are dressed for the cold temperatures and rain. As a reminder - students will need to have a coat to be warm during their recess. Many students got new clothing over the break - please review the school dress code to ensure that the new clothes are appropriate for school. Thank you for your support.
