Nov. 26, 2009

Dear C-2 Parents and Students,

      I am wishing each and every one of you a very Happy Thanksgiving! 

      Parent-Teacher conferences were a big success - I enjoyed meeting all of you and sharing the wonderful progress that your child has made so far this school year.  100% of C-2's parents made it to their child's conference!  

      School will resume on Monday, Nov. 30.  Your child brought home a homework packet to work on during the week off.  Please make sure that they return it to school on Monday.  In addition, your child can work on Study Island, EveryDay Math online games, and the TumbleBook Library during the break.  

     The last Scholastic book order of the year is due on Tuesday, December 1, in order that the books will arrive before the Winter Break starts.  If your child needs another book order form, I will send one home on Nov. 30.  

    The Maple Book Fair was held last week and judging from the crowds of parents and students, it must have been a tremendous success!  I'd like to thank those families who donated five Book Fair books to the C-2 classroom library!  Thank you SO MUCH!

Thanks to the generous donors who adopted the C-2 All-Stars this year, I was recently able to purchase a brand new large, colorful carpet for the "All-Stars Dugout" meeting area (See the photo below.) ! Thank you, donors!! You are wonderful!! We absolutely LOVE our rug!!
