Traveling PetsParticipating in traveling "stuffed pet" programs has been a part of my classroom for the past 8 years. My first venture into the realm of Pet exchange began with a stuffed bear from Vermont named Wandering Webster. After Webster, another stuffed pet visited my classroom, her name was Annettescape. Netty, as we called her, and Webster were both Good Will Ambassadors who traveled the world promoting peace and good will to all of the classrooms that they visited. Students and pets sent emails and letters to each other sharing what life was like in different parts of our country and the world. Each pet visit involved journaling and an overnight visit. We have had pets from Singapore, Australia,England, Tasmania, China, Texas, California, Vermont, and Colorodo just to name a few. After hosting stuffed pets for a few years, I decided to send out my own Good Will Ambassador named BUCKY BADGER. Read Bucky's Blog
